Lena and Toby Wedding - Order of Service

I had the honour of being asked to create the Order of Service for the church wedding of a couple I know who wed this weekend. It was so enjoyable to create, and a new leap from the 'Wedding Maps' I have been creating. I have now changed my 'Wedding Maps' title to 'hermionerose - Illustrations' as I have taken on a few commissions recently that are a little more unusual. It's made me understand that it is good to keep my theme open to ideas and create a variety of illustrations - focusing mostly on special occasions.

Cafe Mylor Sign Writing: Done!

Last night I completed the sign writing on the tables at the awesome Cafe Mylor. The menu is super tasty and great value :) I've heard the pizzas are delicious...definitely have to try one soon.

Camping in Dorset....

I'm back in one piece after 3 days camping in Dorset, it was really lovely and great to put my feet up and relax for a few days. 

Back to the drawing now though :)

I was asked by a friend if I could use my writing skills to create end of table names and numbers on slate for the outdoor tables for her brand new opening of Cafe Mylor in the Falmouth area.....

1st Birthday 'Life Map'

I was commissioned to create an illustration in the style of my wedding maps, but for a little boys first birthday. I included all the major events in his life, including where the parents met, his place of birth, christening and very importantly - his favourite book character The Gruffalo! I have now decided that it is a great idea to broaden my 'Maps' idea, so I can design bespoke maps for any event....Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries etc. For more info on my Wedding Maps go to my Facebook page

My friends celebrated their wedding yesterday - the weather held out for them, the bride looked gorgeous and the groom scrubbed up a beauty! Delicious food, plenty of wine, mad hats were worn and dancing completed the evening.  A very lovely day indeed.

I have been working on some new designs to turn into unique hand drawn greetings cards for St Ives. I wanted to create a few designs in a simple line drawn illustration, and then make each card different using colour to enhance certain areas.

Here are some designs I have started.

Eventually I will have half a dozen designs, and each design will be individually hand drawn with a splash of colour.
