Yearly hermionerose

I was recently commissioned to create a calendar which was poster sized, and that could be used for every as a special events calendar for dates such as Birthdays, Anniversaries etc.
I decided to use the theme of nature, as I am always inspired by birds, flowers, etc.
There are no days of the week on the calendar, only the Months and it will last for every year!

My favourite month on the calendar is April, as I love the cherry blossom! Putting all the dots for lines took a little while(!) but I think it's well worth it!

I was so pleased with the outcome that I decided to print off a few of the finished design and give as presents for Christmas. I even printed one for myself as it is actually a very useful thing to have!! Now there will be no excuse for forgetting Birthdays!

If you would like a copy of my (very useful!) calendar, please do get in touch! They are £15 each and are printed on good quality card. My email is

Cake for a Tree Surgeon boyfriend!!

Back in October I made a very chocolaty/boy cake for my bf's birthday.....thought you might like a sneeky peek! I even made the chain saw for added effect!

Thank you cat cards.....

For my Christmas thank you cards I got a little carried away with a cat theme (not sure where that idea came from!!) I'd like to continue this theme of simple illustrations on a plain background using other creatures such as dogs, chickens, goats etc! (Think I've gone a bit mad!)'s the cats: (!)

I'm back!

Hey all you lovely people! I have not updated on here since September which is about 5 months, terrible I know :(
So here's where I've been and what I've been up to (in a very brief, hopefully not too boring teeny tiny story!)

In September I was made redundant from my job in a glass shop, which coincidently was where i used to update my blog from time to time when it was quiet, as I had access to the internet there-and not at home. This is the main reason why I haven't been updating.
I was then offered a position as a supervisor in a clothes shop in my town where I have been for about 4 months and thoroughly enjoying it! I am only part time so I am still being a busy creative person in my free time.....many buttons have been made in this space of time!!
I also work part time (very part time) at the cinema, which is great as it's extra pocket (saving!) money, plus I get to go to the movies for fffrrreeeeee!

I received a laptop for my christmas pressie from my super duper boy! So now I have no excuses to not get my butt in gear and get on here to let you all know where I'm at, in my life and creatively!

I have many projects I can tell you about, so I'm sure I will start to get the pictures on here and share my doodles and designs......and continue to do so!

I'm also looking forward to finding out about what everyone else has been up to...... :)
